Game Jams

If you are not familiar with game jams, let me explain. A game jam is a game development contest. Contestants are presented with game jam theme and have limited time (usually very, very short) to develop a game. You might ask “Why would someone do that?”. Game jams are part of the game industry for years and are pretty much a game development sport. Some people do it just for fun, some use it as a learning experience, some participate in game jams to meet other game developers and some just like the rush of an imminent deadline. And then there is a possibility, that your game will be so good/popular, that it’ll be worth turning into a full game (Don’t Starve, Super Hot, Snake Pass, …)
